Wet seeded tamarind paste is prepared from tamarind - a sticky sour tasting fruit that grows on bean-like pods (cocooned inside seed pods) on tamarind trees. It has date-like texture and is crushed to make tamarind paste, which is used in lots of Asian cuisines to give authentic sour taste when making oriental sour soup, stir-fry dishes, sweet chutneys, juices carbonated drinks.
Tamarind is a versatile ingredient used to heighten flavour in both sweet and savory dishes. Paste can also be use to make dessert and candy.
